About Our Exchange
Herpcam has been running a Banner
Exchange for reptile and amphibian sites since 2000 and in that time we've had hundreds of members and served over 40 million banners.
Please take a couple minutes to sign
up and implement the simple code on your website and we'll surpass
those stats with this new, stronger, more efficient banner exchange
program. You'll receive 2000 credits just for signing up.
Features:
- Variable Banner ratios - you decide whether you have
a
banner with link back to
the exchange (with a 1:1 ratio*), or a banner without a link back (with
a 2:1 ratio). That is, you'll earn twice as many* credits by
displaying a banner with a link back to the exchange, but it's
ultimately up to you which one you prefer. Of course, you
could use both on separate pages if you wish.
- Multiple banners in each format. Email me if you'd like me to add more than the default one.
- Image Formats - supports Flash banners as well as
standard jpg, gif, and png.
- We handle the bandwidth - upload your banner(s) to
our server. No more empty banner links and we'll handle all the
bandwidth.
- Get credit for referrals - 1000 free credits and a
percentage of their links equal more credits for you!
- Enhanced statistics.
- A Top Banners listing.
- A comprehensive Directory.
- Decide when your banners will rotate, based on the
time of
day.
- Pause your banners at any time for any reason.
- Transfer credits between your banner sizes easily within your account.
* Deluxe Banner Ratios are currently 1:1. In an effort to keep the exchange running smoothly, these ratios will go down to 5:4 (for every 5 banners you show, 4 of yours will be shown) in the future. Lock in your 1:1 now before it's too late and you get a lower ratio. Current members at the time of change will keep their 1:1 ratio.
Banner Requirements:
We use standard 468x60 banners and recommend they be no larger than
50kb in file size.
